Asking advise and/or companionship - trip in the mid of August

Yevgenia
I am sending two of my most dearest men (husband and son) to Reykjavik - August 10-17 (will be my son's graduation trip). Looking for someone who can perhaps split the cost with them for the 4X4 car on these dates (on the route Reyk- West- Reyk- East- Reyk, something;  no North cause no time). Someone who knows the route, may be... I am afraid for them  driving  these gravel roads, etc, etc. Is it that difficult? Do main  parks or local hotels have guides? Is it wiser to just purchase day trips from Reykjavik, albeit more expensive?

(My folks communicate in Russian and English, and some Italian.)
  SPASIBO!THANKS!GRACIE!

Dear Yevgenia,

A guide in Iceland is extremely expensive. If you want this option I recommend you to find it before arrival.
It is not dangerous to drive on gravel roads if you drive carefully.

Day tours is a different option but I prefer to travel on my own...

Best regards,
Berglind
